If you live somewhere with light or non-existent breeze most of the time, a “cheap” flag will actually lift away from the pole more often (fly better).
It’s too early to tell how much quicker the “cheap” flag will age, and I do like embroidered stars (which I DON’T have with the cheap flag), but it definitely is more mobile on the pole, and it’s 20 feet in the air, so not many people are going to get into the lack of embroidery.
After all, nobody has asked me yet why I fly a 29-star flag. (Iowa is the 29th state.)
